Below is a selection of the ingredients and suppliers for chefs and restaurants that you’ll find on Fieldcraft, the ingredient marketplace for food and beverage brands and manufacturers.
Flours
Baobab Flour is naturally sweet and tangy and blends well into everything from smoothies, juices, yogurts, cereals, granolas, chips, sauces, baking mixes and more. Baobab Powder is nearly 50% fiber, 28% of that is prebiotic fiber which feeds the good bacteria in the gut, supports the immune system and promotes healthy digestion.
Brewers Grain Flour such as SuperGrain+ resembles a toasted flour with great flavor, aroma and functional properties. The flour is 100% upcycled and only goes through a mechanical dryer and mechanical flour mill, so there is no compromise to flavor or nutrition in the process.
Distillers Grain Flour marks the first time that upcycled grain from a distillery is commercially available as an ingredient. During the distilling process the sugars are extracted and the spent grains are restored leaving behind the nutritious fiber and protein in Corn Flour and Rye Flour.
Hazelnut Flour is made from whole raw hazelnuts. Hazelnut Flour is great for vegan and paleo applications, and is gluten-free, grain-free and creates delectable baked goods.
Sorghum Flour is available in Black, Red and White Sorghum Flours. American-grown teff is a great addition to any kitchen and is a tiny grain full of protein, calcium and iron.
Sunflower Flour is a sustainable, gluten-free, low-carb, high-protein flour loaded with fiber and healthy fats. Sunflower Flour is rich in 13 essential vitamins and minerals.
Teff Flour is available in two varieties. Brown and Ivory Teff have the same nutritional profile, but the taste varies slightly. Brown teff creates a darker batter and has a deeper, nuttier flavor. Ivory teff is lighter in color and is a bit more delicate in taste which makes it ideal for sweeter baked goods.

Rice
An heirloom grain with roots dating back to the 1690’s, Carolina Gold Rice has unique cooking properties which allow the end product to range from defined grains to a more gummy consistency, depending on cooking method and personal preference.
Legumes
From the Northwest comes a wide variety of specialty beans like Yellow Beans that are rich in fiber and known for their flavor and creamy texture. They’re used for refried beans, soups and stews. White Kidney Beans are known for their texture and ability to absorb flavors. Use in soups, stews, chili’s, and salads. Orca Beans (named after the orca (killer) whale!) is an heirloom variety from Mexico but very rare in the US, this bean is most often used in thick soups or with rice.
Finally, fresh green chickpeas are harvested young while they are naturally green and at their peak of flavor and nutrition. Once picked, green chickpeas are immediately washed, blanched and flash frozen, locking in that fresh picked goodness. Naturally green, perfectly sweet with a buttery texture and nutty crunch, simply a great tasting chickpea! Also check out Green Chickpea Hummus and Green Chickpea Falafel.
Honey
Smitty Bee Honey is a 4th generation honey producer offering a range of honey ingredients including Unfiltered, Liquid and Creamed Honey. Smitty Bee prides itself on sourcing honey from ethical providers, they do not purchase honey from China, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Latvia or Turkey. Ancient Groves supplies Single Origin Hive Honey evocative of the wild ecosystems our bees call home, and traceable to a single origin hive. TYPHŌN Rescue-Bee nectar is raw, organic, unfiltered and unblended for the ultimate presentation of single colony flavor.
Saffron
Sourced directly from Afghan farmers, Saffron will add deep flavor and a beautiful color to any dish. After the saffron is finished steeping, add the saffron and liquid to whatever you’re cooking, such as risotto, paella, or soup. Infuse the saffron directly in wine and the compounds are drawn out even further, and the flavor profile is more pronounced. Another way to bring out the full flavor profile of saffron is to crush the threads with a mortar and pestle to a powder-like consistency, recommended for non-liquid recipes or baking, such as saffron cookies or cakes.
